Well out of any one of my friends I was probably the one to get one a few days after release but I resisted and I'm holding off until rev2 or at least the next firmware update.
But if I had one I'm sure I'd love it as much as my BB Curve but I'd be missing the video out, ringtones and some other minor annoyances of any other phone.

Once again it's not that much money. Think about the people who spent $400 on the XBOX 360 or $600 on a PS3, you're not harping on those costs and this device is with you every minute you're awake. Yes, if you compare the cost to other "phones" than it is a lot but it's more than a phone, more of an iPod and less of a computer. And yes, it's still pricey since none of it is subsidized by the contract.
Anyways, I don't see it as burning money just spending a lot on a device you better use a lot of to make it worth it.

Any way you slice it, it IS a lot of money, and while you can debate that you can get your money's worth out of it, I think we can all agree that this is definitely one case where that didn't happen.
Although, now that I think about it, I've seen this video posted everywhere, and while "Will It Blend" has been around for a while (I've even posted on it before, long ago), I'm sure this stunt will drive up their traffic considerably, so they might actually end up getting their money's worth too, in terms of ad revenue.

blending an iphone can prove to be a smart business move for "will it blend," but ultimately it is burning money, extremely economically damaging, and socially repugnant.
