Maybe it's so we can comment, since that feature is missing from Twitter.

My Linux laptop is my Macbook, too late now although I'm sure they'll have atheros drivers soon. You must have missed the tweet about it shipping and the post about the macbook being awesome.
@Nathan: It's exactly what Jared said. It should however be digested every other day because otherwise my site is going to get clogged fast or I'll have the digest not show on the home page.

why even use twitter if you want people to comment? blogging from your phone is just as easy. first you started twitting your blogs, now you're blogging your twits! redundant cross pollination will be the death of us all!

That's the primary reason I don't really get Twitter. Seems like it would be better to just blog, and you could even disable comments on the post if you don't want them.
But who am I to argue with the masses? After all, MySpace is popular too... Actually, my current impression of Twitter is basically a MySpace substitute for people who are too cool for MySpace. It allows you to do the whole "friend collecting" thing, but it's different enough from MySpace that most will avoid the association, but when you think about it, that's the only thing that really differentiates it from a blog.
