Since they also love software patents, you should patent this (assuming they haven't already) and then charge them for implementing it and/or sue them when they do.

aside from the playlist aspect, they do allow you to set certain to always play louder/softer than the others. i use that feature to have my old timey music play just as loud as my new timey music. like today i got to go from cab calloway to charlie parker without having to adjust the volume at all...wait, do i listen to post-1950 music anymore? what's happened to me?!?!
