Well, I do normally care about grammar, etc. - even on blogs - because I do think there are significant (and obvious) reasons to make sure that any of your writings that are publicly available reflect that you do know how to write well.

However, I don't get on people's cases about it; and what really bugs me is people that do - for no other reason than to put someone else down.

Eugene, you forgot to add punctuation after your opening exclamation: "Oh my sweet word". I'm no grammar expert either, but I think at least a comma may have been in order.

Oh yeah, and you may have also forgotten that posting a comment on a blog just to correct grammatical errors (and not participating in the discussion) only serves to illustrate to the world how insecure you must be.

Same goes for WilliamX, but at least you didn't actually make grammatical errors in your critique. As you can see from the stats regarding this page (illustrated in a separate post), I don't think this blog is getting "left in the dust", despite your apparent opinion of what makes a blog "popular". BTW, who ever said that the author was trying to compete in any way with the "THOUSANDS" of other blogs on the net?

Sorry for all the misspelling and grammar errors.

There is no real excuse for it. But I might as well give you two reasons: One, it was just a midnight rant I never took the time to proof it. Would I have caught them all, NO but it would have been nice since I was dugg. Two, I don't know what it is but I just can't write. But at least I can admit it.

I need to go back and finish Eats Shoots and Leaves.

Oh my sweet word you have a lot of typos and misspellings in this blog. Here's some information for you:

it's = contraction of "it is"
its = possessive

they're = contraction of "they are"
their = possessive
there = a pointing word

On top of that, you have colons in odd spots, lots of misspellings ("tool" for "took"), and capitalization errors.

When I read this, I don't think, "wow, he's got a point". I think, wow, why would I listen to someone who writes like that?

Ok, you may have a point, but it is seriously obscured by the incredibly bad grammar, incorrect use of punctuation, and horrid misspellings. This is due to either poor proofreading or lack of understanding of the English language. Either way, with the THOUSANDS of blogs available on the net, get the quality up, or get left in the dust.
BTW, in this short blog I counted 18 items that your high school teacher would've nailed you for.

I've finally found someone who agrees with me. I've been saying this for months. The little "kiddee" games that come out on the Nintendo systems are the games that are addicting and can be played over and over. I've wasted too much money for games that were visually pleasing but didn't keep me hooked.

i agree with your article alot! Nintendo does aware of the gamers and games. Such example are super smash melee after super smash, yoshi touch n go, naruto gekitou taisen 3(jap), and etc. Hope Revolution goes the right way!

It's refreshing to see someone who isn't obsessed with the latest and greatest hardware on a console. If gamers want that kind of hardware, then buy a PC! Nintendo is the first and they keep things original and fun. Go Nintendo! :D

Ummm..... I don't think that you can just put the GC discs in the Revo. It will use a different sized media and a slot load drive. So, unless they make the drive really special or offer an adaptor I don't think it will work. Either way I'm getting a Revolution! btw I'm posting this with a powerbook ; )

Nintendo...not bad. I still don't dig the focus on younger market, but if that works for them...more power to them. I do like the fact that N still cares about the users and its reflected in the price of their hardware. Yes, I own the Sony and Xbox, but I own a lot of others too.

Quality of the games. I love GBA and I love my Micro.

By the way, you can't get Gamecube games online using the Revo-you insert the Gamecube disc into the disc tray.

I actually had a full paragraph or two on the similarities between Apple and Nintendo but I took it out because it was late and I didn't want it to turn into another apple post.

And just like you said, "even though it may make them a lot of money in the short term". They both don't because it seems they care more about their entire company and vision more then a few extra bucks. And they get that it is only for the short term. Look at Sega, only now are they getting back to what made them great; games.

Ya, I've always thought that the games were the Nintendo's strength, and who cares about the hardware specs as long as the machine plays the games you want to play? They have a ton of their own licensed characters (all the Mario stuff, Zelda, etc.), and make really good games with them which helps with this aspect a lot, so much so that they can make whole other games (Smash Bros. Melee - which is probably worth the price of the Gamecube by itself) which are full of their own characters, so no one else can ever release it.

I'm sure that they constantly get lucrative offers to license these games to other platforms, but they don't do it (even though it may make them a lot of money in the short term), because it basically guarantees their console sales for the future; if you want to play Zelda or Mario games, you will have to buy a Nintendo system.

Hey, now that I think about it, they're kind of similar to Apple... no wonder you like them so much!
