I only have the option to move a message, which removes it's current label.

Re: iMAP on GMail

really, good idea. try it

Re: iMAP on GMail

Tried to use GMail IMAP for my main email inbox but it looks like godaddy.com and gmail don't like each other. I use email forwarding from godaddy.com. I can set up several email forwards for the same domain. I get emails forwarded to my comcast.net and yahoo.com accounts but I get bupkis from GMail. Bummer.

Jim Bailey

Re: iMAP on GMail

The IMAP support is very good news; I'll leave the Apple comment aside for now.

I haven't checked it out yet, but I'm hoping they either ignore labels or add a UI feature to optionally associate labels to folders, but never require it to be a 1:1 relationship, because tags/labels are so different from folders.

Hopefully they keep both and don't try to force one into the other.

Re: iMAP on GMail

Great idea. I've been waiting on this feature for a long time and now it's working perfectly. Thank Google!
But the best part is that I can set up Gmail IMAP on my iPhone. I've just learned how to do it in this guide http://www.weshow.com/us/p/20767/set_up_gmail_i...
The hints are nice and setup is quick: we can do it in less then one minute. That's why I love technology.
