I should really post on it but I think they clutter up space too much and if you can avoid them you might as well. My index has everything on it that I want, nothing other then blog links or a shoutbox I could add and feel pleased about the purpose of the addition.</strike>
<strike>I understand that not having sidebars looks abnormal from other blogs but that's the point, I want something that is designed different and puts the info in a better style then the cookie cutter styles that are so prominent.</strike>
<strike>Does anyone even look at sidebars anymore? I don't.</strike>
<strike>FYI. I'm still not finished with the width, I need to collect some info before find the perfect content width.</strike>

Nathan and Jason: Follow the permalink below.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

so seriously, what's up with all the blank space on the sides?

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

From the sides? Are you insane? You might need something checked.

But if you were serious:
Design - it wouldn't work, especially with people with smaller screens, like a 12" iBook.
Functionality and flow - goes against the grain too much.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

why don't use do some "blades" that come in from the sides?

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

There is nothing that I would want to clutter up my theme enough to make this a three or two column template.

Just no need.

I can include everything with more sliders, like the tags and elsewhere. I am contemplating moving activity to a new slidedown to share it with something and then have the footer only archives. It makes more sense.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

Lots of room off to both sides of the main reading area. You thinking about droppin' a 3 column theme to fill in the space? I bet you are.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

Yeah I noticed Dan. There's still the obvious problem of IE 6 hating it.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

Yeah that is what I was talking about and I use OS X so I know what it looks like I just don't know how to fix it.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

I would edit my post but I can't. Did you mean the form working in Safari or the Tags dropdown??

The form works, but the drop down has a big gap underneath it. The gap stays under the drop down link when its collapsed or open. Email me or leave a comment if you want some screen grabs.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

I love this!! It's immense!! I hope you can make it into a plugin for others to use. I'm on Safari by the way, and it seems to be playing nicely!!

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

I'm over sidebars for this design. And the sideabr on the pages is something I still need to fix.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

BTW, is the theme going to have a 'sidebar' - i think it would be a great idea. Non the less, your sidebar in the 'Archives' page seems to be not aligned and it is right at the bottom right side.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

Yet another brillaint design and work... lookiing forward to the release (It works fine on Firefox... so good reason for it to go live :) )

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

A long time after I figure out why Safari doesn't like it.

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

[Comment ID #15082 Will Be Quoted Here]

Dan, how long before you release this one?

Re: Dan Cameron 2.0

Dan - I really like this.
